Donate hot nutritious meals for homeless and at-risk children in our theatre and education program.
Join with the Actors Theatre Workshop, an award-winning nonprofit that has helped thousands of homeless children for over 29 years in our after-school drama and education program Builders of the New World (BNW).
Are you a Chef, Restaurant Owner, Manager, or Food Service Professional?
Please help us feed NYC homeless children in special classes and celebrations each holiday season.
Your generous donation of delicious “CEO-level” meals will help our precious children to know that they are loved and valued by our community at a time of great instability in their young lives.
- We need donations of 75 tasty and healthy meals (including a protein dish, vegetable, salad, starch and a dessert) to serve in the two classes.
- Your delicious food will help create a warm, homelike atmosphere for our children, who will share a family-style meal in each class with volunteer mentors from leading NYC corporations.
- We will promote your restaurant on our website, in newsletters we send to our 7000+ members, and on our social media outlets and provide a tax-deductible receipt.
- You will be invited to an Art Exhibit that features the children’s original artwork and stories, created during the BNW program to express how they can contribute to making our Democracy a more perfect union for us all.
HOW IT WORKS: Please contact us at outreach@actorstheatreworkshop.org or by phone at 212-947-1386 with the type of meals you can provide to this most worthy cause.
Our next BNW Holiday Program will take place in Winter of 2024.
Thank you for being an essential part of this long-running and successful community program!
The Actors Theatre Workshop is an award-winning non-profit theatre and educational institution founded in 1990 by Thurman E. Scott.
We help people from all walks of life achieve their potential through drama and education.
Our Builders of the New World program provides homeless children with hot nutritious meals and life-changing classes. The children develop a vision for a successful future and learn the life and educational choices to get there; strengthen their reading, writing, and presentation skills; and build crucial values of discipline and responsibility.
All donations are tax-deductible to the full extent provided by law.
