FUTURE TERM & TUITION TBA
Instructor: Thurman E. Scott, Artistic Director and Founder
We are proud to offer on-going Intensive Evening Conservatory Classes for beginning and advanced actors. Master Class meets twice per week. Classes are taught by award-winning actor, director and master teacher of acting Thurman E. Scott. For more information on the process of studying and developing as an actor, read this exciting essay Digging for Gold and watch videos from inside the Master Class.
All elements of the actors craft are taught in this course: Beginning and Advanced Technique, Scene Study, Script Analysis and Character Development. As Mr. Scott teaches each element of the actor’s craft, you will immediately put it into action and see the practical application of the concept at work. Students will develop the ultimate actor’s toolbox which can be used when developing a character for any play or film. This is a practical class that will yield extraordinary results and one that you can return to again and again to further deepen your craft.
The Master Class is held in four terms per year. After completing four terms in the program, you will perform one or more scenes or monologues directed by Thurman E. Scott, which will be presented in a showcase. In preparation for your showcase term, you will be given free rehearsal space over a period of two – three weeks.
