Acting Technique I and II is an ongoing class held in four terms per year. The new Tuesday night class will begin in September. In this class, you will learn powerful, doable exercises to free your imagination and emotions, and put your spontaneous life force into a play or script. Learn how to break down actions, make powerful choices, and use the technique to create security, liberate talent, and give complex, illuminating performances.
This class will be held in person for NYC-based students and virtually for remote students. Out-of-state and international applicants are welcome to apply.
FUTURE TERM & TUITION TBA
Instructor: Thurman E. Scott, Artistic Director and Founder
All of the elements of the actor’s craft are taught in this class: Technique I, Technique II, Scene Study, Script Analysis and Character Development. As Mr. Scott teaches each element of the actor’s craft, you will immediately put it into action in order to see the practical application of the concept at work. You will learn the whys and the hows of the actor’s craft. You will develop the ultimate actor’s toolbox that you will be able to draw from when you are developing a character for a play or film. This is a very practical class that will yield extraordinary results, and one that you can return to again and again to further deepen your craft.
The Master Class is held in four terms per year. After completing four terms in the program, you will perform one or more scenes or monologues directed by Thurman E. Scott, which will be presented in a showcase. In preparation for your showcase term, you will be given free rehearsal space over a period of two – three weeks.

Read the newspapers daily
If you smoke or drink alcohol, substantially limit your use or quit
Schedule a significant amount of time for studying, rehearsing and class exercises each day
