Team Volunteering At The Actors Theatre Workshop

Join our Volunteer Program for teams from all walks of life that leads to personal and professional development through creative training and community service, and provides an opportunity to make a meaningful commitment to our shared community through the award-winning programs of The Actors Theatre Workshop.

We welcome groups to serve together, especially in areas where they have shared skills or for a one-time service opportunity that fosters team-building.

We look forward to exploring points of connection between ATW’s mission and your corporation’s initiatives and goals for employee growth and development.

Our volunteer program includes receiving creative training with Founder and Artistic Director, Thurman E. Scott and a regular volunteer commitment in support of ATW’s key operating teams.

• Marketing Engagement: Support ATW programs by writing copy, newsletters, and social media. Use your graphic design skills to create compelling promotional materials. Maintain ATW’s website and enhance SEO.
• Fundraising, Development and In-Kind Donations: Seek financial support through grant writing, events, and individual donation requests. Source in-kind donations of food, goods and services. Each of our programs gives benefit tax-deductible donations to fund and support our non-profit organization.
• Volunteer/Intern Recruitment and Administration: Support this crucial area of ATW in expanding the volunteer team through Recruitment, HR and Program Management.
• Corporate Engagement: Use your research skills, connections, and ideas to advance ATW’s goal of increasing our relationships and partnerships with the corporate community.
• Video and Photo Production: Help expand ATW’s presence in the community. Support the growth of our programs by documenting and editing videos and photos of our programs and productions.
• Technology: Ensure that ATW is at the forefront of technology. Work with us on an exciting new CRM (Customer Relations Management) project, research and advise technology and connectivity opportunities.

1-Time

We are happy to partner with corporations for a single project or day of volunteering.

Examples of 1-Time projects: serve a meal during a children’s program, decorate the theatre for the holidays and wrap gifts for the children, design projects, and physical plant projects like painting the theatre.
